The belt conveyor system driven by a permanent magnet motor has the following advantages:
1. High efficiency, low noise, and energy saving. The hydraulic coupler and reducer are canceled, and the vibration and noise of the system are greatly reduced; compared with the original system, the power consumption is reduced and the efficiency is significantly improved.
2. Low maintenance and low maintenance cost. It saves the cost of replacing, overhauling, and daily maintenance of worn parts such as reducers, hydraulic couplings, and gears; it saves the purchase cost of the belt being pulled due to uneven starting.
3. Large output torque and stable operation. Maintaining constant torque within the rated speed improves running stability. Especially the motor can provide sufficient torque at low frequency, low voltage, and low speed. The slow start of the belt conveyor is realized by using the speed regulation function of the frequency converter. It can realize heavy-load starting, and the current does not exceed 2 times the rated current during full-load starting operation.
4. Compact structure, small size, and lightweight. It can be seen that the gearless permanent magnet motor drive system of variable frequency speed regulation can give full play to its advantages when applied to the belt transportation system in the coal mine. This new operating model is worth promoting in coal mines.
